The Ballerina and The Maverick: Inside the Shocking, Sparkless Split of Tom Cruise & Ana de Armas
It was the A-list romance no one saw coming—or lasting. And now, after less than a year of super-secret dates and high-profile summer outings, Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas have officially powered down their relationship.
According to explosive reports from The Sun, the Hollywood pair have called it quits, with a source close to the stars confirming the breakup was completely amicable because, simply put, the spark was gone.
“Tom and Ana had a good time together but their time as a couple has run its course,” the insider revealed. “The chemistry that once connected them has waned… they are better off as friends.“
From London Dinners to Vermont Hand-Holding: A Whirlwind of Waning Romance
The Top Gun star and the Ballerina actor first sparked romance rumors back in February when they were spotted sharing a dinner in London. Speculation went into overdrive in late July after they were photographed holding hands during a summer getaway in Vermont.
At the time, de Armas had described her connection with Cruise as merely “fun” during a Good Morning America appearance, adding that they were also “collaborating on a few projects.” Turns out, “collaborating” might have been the stronger theme all along!

The insider stressed that despite the lack of romantic fireworks now, there is absolutely no bad blood between them.
The source claimed, “Even though they still love each other’s company, they are not dating each other, the source claimed. They are going to remain good friends but they aren’t dating anymore.”
The Relationship Scorecard: Three Ex-Wives and A Former Maverick
For Tom Cruise, this latest romance ends his bachelor streak following three high-profile marriages to actresses Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman, and Katie Holmes.
Meanwhile, Cuban star Ana de Armas (who was previously married to Spanish actor Marc Clotet) is back on the market after a number of high-profile relationships.
The good news for Hollywood? Even though the romantic mission failed, sources insist the two stars “remain on good terms and continue to admire one another’s company.” That means the possibility of an on-screen pairing or a friendly industry sighting is definitely still on the table!
