What’s the Gossip on Meghan?’ Trump Blindsides Queen Camilla in Search of Royal Dirt
It was a state visit filled with pomp, ceremony, and diplomacy—but for President Donald Trump, the real priority was simple: getting the dirt on the Sussexes.
According to a bombshell report from royal expert Tom Sykes in his Substack newsletter, the 79-year-old president allegedly went completely off-script during his recent visit, buttonholing Queen Camilla with a startlingly candid question about the royal family’s biggest ongoing drama: Meghan Markle.

Sykes claims that at one point during the state visit last month, Trump turned to the 78-year-old Queen and asked:
“What’s the gossip on Meghan then? What’s going on there?”
This jaw-dropping request for royal “tea” exposes Trump’s continued, well-known fixation on the Duchess of Sussex, 44, who has been a vocal critic of the former president.
The Harry Snub: ‘Remarkable Son’ William
Trump’s reported move on Camilla follows an already fiery appearance at the state dinner on September 17. While he lavished praise on Princess Kate as “so radiant and so healthy, so beautiful,” he made sure to drop a very public, subtle dig at Meghan’s husband, Prince Harry, who, with his wife, stepped down from royal duties in 2020.
In his speech, Trump gave a pointed shout-out to Prince William, completely bypassing the Duke of Sussex:
“I just want to say that His Majesty has also raised a remarkable son in His Royal Highness, Prince of Wales. Really amazing. We’ve gotten to know you and I think you’re going to have unbelievable success in future.”
‘I Wish a Lot of Luck to Harry, Because He’s Going to Need It’
This is simply the latest chapter in the long-running feud between Trump and the American-born Duchess. Trump has never hidden the fact that he is “not a fan” of Meghan, a sentiment that only intensified after she and Prince Harry urged Americans to vote in the 2020 election in a clip widely seen as an endorsement of his opponent.
At the time, Trump did not mince words, aiming his famous sharp wit at the couple’s relationship:
“I would say this — and she has probably heard that — I wish a lot of luck to Harry because he’s going to need it.”
Now, with a new alleged quest for palace “gossip,” the president seems intent on reigniting his royal feud. Whether Queen Camilla gave him the inside scoop remains a tightly-held royal secret
